President – Jen Sizemore
Jen is mom to Jasmine, an 8th grader at Viera Charter School. She has been an active volunteer at VCS since it opened its doors six years ago. She has served VCS in many capacities, including PTSO Vice President, School Advisory Board member, room representative, Box Tops Coordinator, Morning Mile coordinator and event volunteer. This is Jen’s third year as PTSO President. Jen has worked as a NASA contractor and Project Manager since 2005 and currently supports NASA’s APPEL Knowledge Services organization. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration-Information Technology. Jen’s goal in her final year as PTSO President is to firmly establish the PTSO as VCS’s strongest supporters by promoting the partnership between parents, administration, teachers, students, and the overall Panther Community through social and fundraising activities.
Vice President – Michael Garvey
Michael Garvey and his family have lived in Brevard County for 16 years. He and his bride,
Heather Stanley-Garvey, have two daughters, Adeline (4th grade) and Peyton (kindergarten), who
attend Viera Charter School. Michael is involved at VCS as a parent volunteer for his daughters’
classes and is a consistent participant/supporter of the PTSO.
He is involved in the local community as a lifetime Girl Scout serving as the Vice Chair for the
Brevard County community and Cookie Program Chair. He was the recipient of the 2019 ‘Man of
the Year’ for Girl Scouts of Central Florida. Michael also leads a men’s Bible study group through
In his professional career, Michael has served as a consultant and executive business leader where
he has worked with global teams for the past 20 years. Michael earned an undergraduate degree in
computer science from Colorado Christian University and a master’s degree in management and
leadership from Webster University. He is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) and
a Lean Six Sigma practitioner.
Treasurer – Jennifer LeBrun
Jennifer is mom to her 4th grade son, Gavin. She has been part of the Panther Family for four years and enjoys volunteering during Book Fairs, in the classroom, on Picture Day, with Boosterthon and at Graduations. Jennifer has a BA in Accounting, so she likes working with numbers as well. This is her second year as Treasurer and she is looking forward to another fantastic year at Viera Charter School!
Secretary – Stefanie Groves
Stefanie Groves is Mom to Rydan who will be going into 2nd grade in the upcoming year. This
will be their third year at VCS. Stefanie is a stay-at-home mom and loves helping out at the school
whenever she has an opportunity. Before becoming a stay at home mom, her career was spent in
administrative positions in the accounting and medical fields.
Fundraising Coordinator – Norma Negron
Norma Negron is mom to 3 girls – Sophia (Sophomore at Viera High), Alyssa (7th grade), and Olivia (4th grade). She has been active with the school since its inaugural year, except for a brief military travel across the country during the 2017-2018 school year. They were very happy to come back “home” to VCS. Norma has enjoyed volunteering as a room mom, an AVID tutor, with book fairs, and with various other social school activities. Norma has her BAS in Organizational Management and is looking forward to another exceptional school year with her Panther family.
Volunteer Coordinator – Samantha Smith
Samantha Smith is mom to Holden who is in kindergarten this year which made it our first year at Viera Charter School. She’s very familiar with this area and the great things it has to offer. She grew up in this area and was part of the second graduating class at Viera High. Samantha now works nights doing audits for Hilton Hotels. She loves volunteering at VCS and attended all the spirit nights this past year. Samantha’s favorite volunteer opportunities were the Panther cup, fun run, book fair, and helping with graduation pictures. She was also class room mom this year which was an amazing experience. She can’t wait to continue volunteering at Viera Charter School and looks forward to being on the PTSO Board for the upcoming school year.
